Privacy policy

What the plugin does on your computer

Tracklign analyses the audio of your media locally. Your audio, video and project files never leave your computer.

Licence and trial

To provide the trial and licences, the plugin sends our licence server: a device identifier (a salted SHA-256 hash of your operating system's machine ID — the original ID is not sent), your licence key when you activate one, and the time of each check. The server stores the trial start per device, your licence key, its status and paid period, the devices it is activated on and when they last checked in. Legal basis: performance of the contract (providing the Software you use or bought).

Purchases

Payments are processed by Paddle.com as Merchant of Record under Paddle's privacy policy. We receive from Paddle your email address, country, subscription status and billing period, so we can issue and manage your licence. We do not receive your card details.

Website

This website uses no analytics and no advertising cookies. Fonts are served from this website. Prices and checkout are provided by Paddle's script (paddle.js), which Paddle uses to process payments and prevent fraud.

Service providers

Cloudflare (hosting of this website and the licence server; technical logs such as IP addresses are kept briefly for security), Paddle (payments). If we email you your licence key, we use an email delivery provider for that message.

Retention

Licence records are kept while your licence is active and afterwards as long as required for accounting and to handle disputes. Trial records contain only the hashed device identifier and dates.

Your rights

You can ask for access to, correction or deletion of your data, object to processing, or ask for a copy of it by writing to [email protected]. You may also complain to your data protection authority.
